What inspires you to compete?
Watching vidios or getting new stuff gets me stoked. Just sitting there in school and looking out the window, surfing.... just makes me wanna get up and leave to go and go surf
What has been your most embarrassing moment?
umm, one time me and jai were surfing in a local competition we just happened to run in on. Well it was semi-final rounds, and on my second heat, i pulled off the best line i have ever seen myself do, fluent, beautiful cuts, and high clean air with a quick grab. A bunch of people saw and word got around "check this kid out" so a unch of people were watching my next round. Well it wasn`t a huge competition, so my friend jai thought it would be funny to strip the wax off my board were most people have the decking (kick pad) so i went for a roundhouse.....well you can imagine trying to do one of those barefoot with no grip....haha with everyone watchin, they were all cool about it, we just laughed it off and chilled that night with the locals..
Describe your style...
I like to keep different but not the one that people look down upon. I like to set the standards, always pushing it and moving the bar higher, giving others someone to look up to. I like to represent companies that have a good product not one that will just give me stuff and split costs. I ride honestly and for the pleasure of the adrinaline and the people that enjoy to watch.
What do you want to be when you grow up?
I want to be a photographer and a buisness represenative. I also want to open a surf shop and be able to give back by sponsoring and hosting local events. I want the kids of the next generation to be able to get the same pleasure out of surfing if not more than i do. I also want to be able to shape my own boards for my shop.
